A peaceful retreat with modern comforts… Zink Cabin has a mountain view in a natural setting plus a dishwasher, Netflix, air conditioning, and WiFi.

**Please note**

We are currently only offering stays of 15 nights or longer. (sorry, no exceptions on this so please do not ask.) The space is deep cleaned and disinfected before and after every stay and we are leaving at least 3 days between every booking. Fresh linens will be dropped off each week along with a few other staples as needed (eg. dishwasher pods, cleaning products, toilet paper, etc.)

We do not have a washer/dryer, but we recommend a drop-off service in Woodstock (we can supply hampers for this use). 

Some great local restaurants, farms, liquor stores, and markets are currently doing curbside pickups and/or delivery. We can help provide you with a list.

If sending a booking request please be sure to register and add your full name AND ID verification to your profile and add accurate guest information to help speed up confirmation of your reservation. (You can find these options under the “profile” tab). We’ll also follow up with a rental agreement during the booking process which can be signed digitally.

Location

Just under 2.5 hours from NYC, the guest cabin is a great jumping off point for Catskill activities like hiking (we’re about 10 minutes from Vernooy Kill Falls) and eating (Phoenicia Diner and Westwind Orchard are within a 30 minute drive). Or just cozy up and enjoy the view.

The space

The cabin is small but efficient, with modern comforts like WiFi, a 4k TV with Netflix in the bedroom, Alexa and Wink for lighting controls, electric shades and a propane grill.

It is our guest cabin and is nearby the main building, but the cabin and the deck are both designed to be private while still sharing the beautiful mountain view!

Please note: if booking during winter months, please make sure to have a 4wd vehicle as the weather can cause some slippery conditions.

Beds

The bedroom has a queen bed and large 4k TV with AppleTV, Sonos, and an HDMI cord for plugging your own device. The bed orientation is set up so that it can be used as a lounge during the day. Please note that the bathroom is located off of the bedroom.

Kitchen

The kitchen has a dishwasher, small refrigerator and freezer, an induction cooktop, toaster oven, a Nespresso coffee maker and Bodum drip coffee maker, and an outdoor propane grill. (We can supply you with a large yeti cooler if you need additional refrigeration space).
Please note that we do not have a traditional oven or a microwave. We find that the grill, stovetop and toaster do most of what we need!

Propane Fireplace

We have a freestanding cast iron propane fireplace, which keeps the cabin toasty without the hassle of kindling and splinters.
The fireplace is controlled by a Nest thermostat on the wall. Please be sure never to place any items on top of the fireplace.

Air Conditioner/Electric Heat

There is also a new split-unit air conditioner/heater, which keeps the cabin nice and cool in the summer. It is controlled by a remote that sits next to the thermostat on the wall.

Getting to the Cabin

The private road leading up to the cabin is dirt/gravel, and with the wet spring we just had there are a number of new potholes. Please drive slowly and take care, especially if driving up in a smaller vehicle 🙂

Please note: there is some landscaping work still to be done at the building next store, so please don’t venture onto other areas of the properties as they may not be safe and the neighbors value their privacy. Thanks!

Other things to note

We have cooking utensils as well as basic cooking supplies like olive oil, sugar, flour and salt and pepper.
We also have coffee pods for the Nespresso, as well as honey, hot cocoa and black tea.
